PowerShell Tips : Getting hard disk Model and Serial Number by using PowerShell.

 

One of my colleague was struggling to find a model and serial number of installed Hard drive in the laptop. I was thinking to remove the hard drive from laptop physically ( oops!) , and I stop him to do that and showed him how cool is the PowerShell.

I teach him the below PowerShell cmdlet to find the hard drive model and Serial number ;o) .

Get-WmiObject win32_diskdrive | Select Model,SerialNumber
